Al Hilal to face Al Arabi of Kuwait in ACL

The arab champions league draw puts Al Hilal against Al Arabi of Kuwait in the first round of the competition. The first match will be played in Omdurman on 27-28-29 of October 2008 and the return matches will be on 24-25-26 November 2008. Al Hilal was represented by Emad Tayeb Secretary-General of the Club.

Al Hilal draw with Cotonsport

Al Hilal FC draw 1-1 with Cotonsport of Cameroon in the third round of African Champions League group game on Friday. Kelechi Osunwa scored the first goal for Al Hilal in the 25th minute of the first half. Baba Ousmaila equalised for Cotonsport 14 minutes from time. Al Hilal coach made 2 chamges after the goal in a bid to score a win to strengthen his team chances to qualify for the semi-finals, but the game ended 1/1. Al Hilal remain top of Group B with five points before the match between Enyimba and Mazembe on Sunday.

Al Hilal faces Cotton of Cameroon in third round of CAF CL

Crescent will host this evening, the Cotton FC of Cameroon in the third round of the CAF MTN Champions League. Al Hilal team has completed all preparations for the match today, through which it seeks to achieve victory and strengthen their leadership of the group before leaving to Cameroon to play against Cotton in the fourth round.
Al Hilal finished a series of pratices and friendly matches under the supervision of  Brazilian manager Mr. Ricardo Herron, who hopes to provide a better standard of the match against the Congolese Mazembe, which ended in a draw that was enough for Al Hilal to top the group.

Al Hilal in prepration and Cotton arrive today

Al Hilal FC finished prepration for Friday match against Cotton of Cameroon in the third round of CAF MTN champions league group stage. The practice was attended by a massive rally of supporters, and was attended by all Al Hilal players excpet Al Hilal defender (Richard) who is injured and Saif Masawi who is suspended after receiving a yellow card in Mazembe match.
Mr. Ricardo Heron, the Brazilian coach of Al Hilal expressed his confidence about his team prepration and said that his men will again show how they became a team to respect and will play for another win.

Al Hilal to play in Arab Champions League

The Sudanse football association (SFA) agreed to allow AL Hilal and Al Merrikh to participate in the Arab champions league after the meeting with the two clubs , after agreeing to be bound by the priority of the national team in the event of any conflict with the championship matches. The draw will be held on 16/8/2008 at Moroccan city of Agadir.

Al Hilal board decided to withdraw from the SPL competition

Al Hilal managing board decided to withdraw from the Sudan premier league after the refusal of the Sudanese football association (SFA) to reschedule the match against AL Neel Al Hassaheisa which was not played because of the decision made by SFA not to allow Soly Sharif and Dariokan (Nigerian players who hold a Sudanese nationality) from playing with AL Hilal.
The minister of youth and sports mediate between both sides and they signed an agreement to reschedule the match, but after 5 months the SFA refused to reschedule the match, hence came the decision by Al Hilal board to withdraw.

Al Hilal loses 0/1 in Sudan Derby

Al Hilal lost the Sudanese derby 0/1 against AL Merrikh in Sudan premier league on Thursday. The goal came in the 88th minute. Al Hilal missed many chances to score in the early minutes of the game from a close range by Kelitchi and in the early minutes of the second half from Kelitchi too. This is Al Hilal first loss in the SPL and now AL Hilal is in second place with one match against AL Neel AL Hasaheissa that is to be decided on by SFA.

Al Hilal faces Al Merrikh today in the Sudanese derby

Al Hilal FC will play today against Al Merrikh in the Sudan premier league titans clash. The match was postboneded from the first round because of the Sudan national team participiation in African qualification matches for world cup 2010 and African cup of nation 2010.
Al Hilal reusmed practices after returning from Congo after playing a goalless drawn against Mazembe in CAF champions league.

Al Hilal returns to practice

Al Hilal FC returned to practice yesterday after returning from Congo where the team earned a precious point against Mazembe after a goalless drawn.  All Players were present fr the morning and evening practice sessions except Alla Eddin Yousif who missed the last match dueto injury, and he will return to action next week.
Al Hilal will play next against Cotton of Cameroon at Omdurman on 15/08/2008.

Ricardo: Mazembe will not score a single goal if the match continued for 48 hou

In a press conference held after Mazembe and AL Hilal match, coach Ricardo Heron of Al Hilal said he worked primarily on the stopping the key players of Mazembe team and that he succeeded in doing so. And also he said he planned to play fast counter-attacks to Ahmed Aadil and Kelitchi, and he is pleased with snatching a point which is good in such tournaments.
He said in the second half he expected the refree to to side with the home team ad his intuition is justified with the numerous fouls and decision in favour of the home team. Ricardo said that the way his team played make it hard for Mazembe to score even if the game lasted for 48 hours not just 90 minuts
